I am not surprised by these results. I love talking to and working with people. I enjoy math more than sports. These scores illustrate what a great teacher I will be. I like working with people, especially children. I can use these results to achieve my goals. I speak up in classes, I am quite strong in both math and linguistics. I can use all these strengths in college now, and then eventually as an amazingly interpersonal classroom teacher.
Dear Students and Families,
Welcome to my classroom!
My name is Ms. Miranda McDermott. I am excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and Im looking forward to a happy and productive school year.
Curriculum areas we will focus on this year include many interesting age-approriate subjects.
Students are asked to bring the following supplies to school...
Long list of specific supplies.
My homework policy is fair. All homework sent home is due the next school day, unless stated otherwise.
My grading policy is to have papers handed back as quickly as I can and grades posted online when appropriate.
Special classroom events planned for the year include: International day, field trip to the Discovery Center, and a Science Fair.
Upcoming school events you should be aware of include Curriculum Night 8/25 7-8:30pm and the Ice Cream Social 9/1 from 6-7:30pm.
Please mark those dates on your calendar. Studies show that parental involvement in a childs education is one of the strongest indicators of student achievement. We hope you will make it a priority this year to attend as many school-sponsored events as possible.
If you have any questions or concerns or if you would like to visit our classroom, schedule a conference, or volunteer to help out, you can contact me at (630)867-5309. The best times to reach me are 8am-9am or 3:15-4:30pm.
Once again, welcome to our class. Lets work together to make this the best year ever!
Sincerely,
Ms. McDermott
